Liuli Jewelry

Liuli, a Beautiful and Ingenious Ancient Chinese Glass.

Chinese Liuli, or "colored glaze", is a perfect integration of ancient culture and modern art. With over two thousand years of history, Liuli is currently made using dewaxed casting with artificial crystal. The entire long process may take up to 20 days for each figurine. Each piece must be exquisite, bright and limpid.

The existence of Liuli dates back to the Western Zhou Dynasty of ancient China, over 2,000 years ago. It was only used by royal families and was scarcely seen among ordinary people. It is even regarded as being more precious than gold or jade. A fairy tale says a special basin held by the "God of Fortune", who can bring wealth to people, is made from Liuli. Thus Liuli is widely regarded as a symbol of wealth.
